Here are a few pics from Macie's first backyard Easter egg hunt and her cute little dress that grandma bought her. One more milestone note, she took her first couple of solo steps between me and Wende. She is so close to walking on her own it's scary. Happy Easter to you all.

My dad shot the Easter Bunny
When I was a kid we celebrated Easter like most Christian kids. We got up went on an Easter egg hunt, usually in our backyard, then went to church. By the time I was 12 or 13, my dad thought we were old enough that we didn't need to believe in the Easter Bunny anymore. So, that Easter morning he woke us up with shotgun in hand and told us "No more Easter Bunny, I shot him". Even though he took it upon himself to snuff out another holiday icon (I won't tell you what he did to Santa), I still believe. This morning our daughter got to start her many years of learning what these important holidays are all about - candy!
