My dad shot the Easter Bunny

When I was a kid we celebrated Easter like most Christian kids. We got up went on an Easter egg hunt, usually in our backyard, then went to church. By the time I was 12 or 13, my dad thought we were old enough that we didn't need to believe in the Easter Bunny anymore. So, that Easter morning he woke us up with shotgun in hand and told us "No more Easter Bunny, I shot him". Even though he took it upon himself to snuff out another holiday icon (I won't tell you what he did to Santa), I still believe. This morning our daughter got to start her many years of learning what these important holidays are all about - candy!

Here are a few pics from Macie's first backyard Easter egg hunt and her cute little dress that grandma bought her. One more milestone note, she took her first couple of solo steps between me and Wende. She is so close to walking on her own it's scary. Happy Easter to you all.

One step closer to walking

A new video of Macie cruising along with her toy walker. She loves walking all over the house. Here are some pictures of her from this past weekend at her cousin Brooklyn's birthday party.

Also a couple of pictures of her newest cousin Stockton Motiee who came to visit from Salt Lake.

Weather Jimmy Buffett would enjoy

Ahhhhhh.....It has finally arrived. Springtime, that illustrious two week period in AZ before it feels like we are living on the sun. Macie is ready with shorts and flip flops on. Now we just need a pool or a beach.

A little high five action!

This is how I know she's mine....

A couple of weeks ago we finally scored Guitar Hero for the Wii. Uncle Evan was jamming out when Macie got her fist glimpse of Rock N Roll. She was in amazement of the game. As you can here, Evan not the best guitarist, but he's working on it.

Merry Christmas!!!

Macie's first Christmas and man it flew by. It all started with Macie's first present. Which we opened on the 23rd at home.

Christmas eve day we packed up the car, dog and all, and headed for Hurricane, UT to visit the fam. That night we made a quick visit to the family dinner/party. Macie wasn't feeling too well and we didn't want to share her cold with all the other little ones there. So after a quick bite to eat and a few hellos, we went home and put her to bed.

Christmas morning was chock full of toys and Grandma and Grandpa spoiled her of course. She got everything from clothes, to movies to dolls to learning toys, to her own little piano. We spent the next few days visiting family, eating too much and just lounging around the house.

Saying hello to uncle Tim.
Playing with great grandma and grandpa Stanworth.
We hope you all had a great holiday season. Happy New Year.

And...she's off...

Thought we would share a quick video of Macie starting to cruise around. We can't believe how fast these last 6 months have gone by.
